Teacher Banned for Mentally
Influencing Students
In a majority vote, the Oklahoma City school board voted to ban Jordan Michael Finley from her teaching position after it came to light she had been using her telepathic abilities to influence her students.
The use of Miss Finley’s power was brought to the attention of Principal Dozer, or Wilson Elementary School after parents noticed changes in their children’s behaviors.
“My Billy’s never been one to just sit at the table and read a book,” Howard Brossland, father to Billy Brossland, told the Oklahoman in an interview. “He used to be a ball of energy, always running around. Having fun! That woman did something to him. Changed him. What else did she use her mind to do to him?”
“I mean,” Miss Holland, Mother of Rebeca Sanders, told this reporter, “I do appreciate that Becky’s been doing much better in school this year. She used to struggle so hard just to keep up with the others. But this year, she was third in the spelling bee. I’ve never seen her so happy. But….” Here the woman looks toward the house, where her husband is watching us through the living room. When offered to comment on his daughter’s teacher, Mark Sanders let out a string of expletives unsuitable for printing and slammed the door in this reporter’s face. “I just can’t, in good conscience,” Miss Holland continues, “allow this kind of behavior to continue. I can’t put my Becky’s success above the harm she[Jordan Micheal Finley] might be doing to those boys she whammied. I mean. How appropriate is it that a single woman like her be allowed to do that to young, impressionable boys? It’s just wrong.”
Miss Finley is protesting the expulsion, claiming she only used her power to create a positive teaching environment. Helping her students remain calm and have an easier time focusing on their tasks. She vehemently opposes any suggestion that she used her power in anything resembling inappropriate manners.
